Pilates Workout Method is full body movement system. It's exercises are therapeutic and were developed by Joseph Pilates who was a physical therapist pioneer.
Pilates works to strengthen muscles and balance muscular force at the joint. It helps circulation by facilitating flexibility, joint range of motion and proper muscle skeletal alignment. It increases body awareness and coordination. It also promotes new neuromuscular patterns.
All of these things help in injury prevention, pain management, pelvic/spinal stability to prepare the body for rehabilitation of other weak and damaged areas of the body.
